SLY SYLVESTER to play at Oakland’s I HELLA Love Shorts Festival

We’re honored to announce that SLY SYLVESTER has been selected to screen in the I HELLA Love Shorts Festival on Sunday, December 6. The quarterly festival showcases local and international independent filmmakers.

The festival is hosted by The Flight Deck (1540 Broadway Street, Oakland). Come out Sunday, December 6 at 5:30 to enjoy eats, drinks and flicks. Advanced tickets are available for $7 via Brown Paper Tickets or you can pay $10 at the door.

The Pharoah Films Show

Bay Area friends! If you missed the airing of SLY SYLVESTER on The Pharoah Films Show last Saturday, you’re in luck! The film will be featured once again this weekend, so set your DVR to KOFY TV (ch. 13 or 20) for 3 pm PST on Saturday, July 13. Writer and producer Kim Nunley will introduce the film and briefly discuss her next project.

Kim Nunley Talks w/ Julie Gray of Just Effing

SLY SYLVESTER writer and producer Kim Nunley recently discussed the journey of making her first short film with Julie Gray, screenwriter and consultant at Just Effing.

The two talk about the initial inspiration behind the story, roadblocks that popped up during shooting and whether or not Kim thinks writers should produce their own projects.

SLY SYLVESTER to be Released on Friday!

We’re excited to announce that  SLY SYLVESTER get its public release this Friday, September 21. It’s been nearly a full year since we finished the project. After making it’s debut at the 2012 Oakland International Film Festival and the 2012 Sacramento International Film Festival (where it took the Outstanding Nor Cal Comedy Short award), it will be available for free online streaming.
